I want to let users have more access to their document libraries. We are using Office 365 and the default document library permissions are "Read" "View" "New", "Edit" and "delete" for the "All Users". We want to let users add and remove files through a console application. The app runs on the server so a user can just browse to the document library and upload a file, then he can click on "Add file", at this point he can select a file and save it to a folder in the app server. Then he can use the console application to get the absolute path of the file and send that to the app server to remove the file from the document library. The user can select and remove one or many files, but when he clicks "Remove", he gets a message saying that "The user is not authorized to perform this operation." On the document library settings, it's set to "Enable Edit permissions for Guests". He can delete the file from the app server, but then he gets another message saying "The item cannot be modified by the current user. It must be removed before modifications can be saved. You must have permission to edit this item." I've noticed that the "Modify" button for every item is disabled and he can only change the visibility of the item. The user can remove files from the document library with "Read", "View" and "Delete" permissions and we have no issue at all. I've also tried to set the permissions for the app user manually, with no results. This is a problem as our customers need to be able to remove files without any issue. The app is on a 64-bit server, the document library is on a 32-bit
